Get DNS information for domain

dig command

dig stands for Domain Information Groper. It is a command line utility for network administrators. It is primarily used to query DNS servers.

Install dig

You must install dnsutils package to install dig.

1) Run below command

sudo apt-get update

2) Install dnsutils

sudo apt install dnsutils

Get DNS Information

The domain name we use google.com is possible because of DNS Server.

1) Get DNS information of Google.

dig google.com

2) IP Address of google.

3) It is the query time. It varies depending on your geographical location and the name server you used.

4) DNS response size or MSG SIZE
